Chicago Ladies in Comedy has partnered with SKALD Storytelling Competition winner, Deanna Moffitt, to present Lady Tales: A Workshop and Performance of Stories by Women.

Storytelling is hot, hot, hot in Chicago right now. And if you’ve ever thought “I want to do that sometime,” or “I could never do that, I don’t have any stories,” this class is for you. Taught by Deanna Moffitt co-founder and co-host of one of the best story telling events in the city, “This Much is True”, this four week session on personal narrative writing will you help you discover one of your stories and your voice to tell it. We’ll explore story inspiration, work with writing prompts, create “characters” and dialogue and the art of telling a story well. The class will culminate in a story telling show produced by CLiC on Friday September 28, 2012.
